Xebex was running shipping insurance through a third-party app (ShipAid) on their Shopify Plus store. Functionally, it worked. Strategically, it didn’t. They were paying a fee on every single order for something that sat right in the middle of their checkout. On top of that, a core revenue and trust element was controlled by an external app they didn’t own, couldn’t fully customize, and had to rely on for updates and stability.

The UI relied heavily on a modern dark-mode aesthetic using "Glassmorphism"—subtle background blurs, multi-layered gradients, and semi-transparent borders. Replicating these CSS effects in Webflow while ensuring they rendered consistently across all browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) presented a significant technical styling challenge.

As order volume increased, those per-order fees added up fast. The team wanted:
